COMPACT ELECTRIC SUV
OPTIQ is the most compact Cadillac EV in the lineup. The 2027 OPTIQ offers RWD and dual-motor AWD configurations around an 85 kWh battery and Cadillac’s technology-heavy cabin.
2027 Canadian-market overview. Equipment can vary by trim, configuration and production timing; the model-specific differences that matter are called out below.

The 2027 OPTIQ lineup starts with single-motor RWD on Luxury and Sport, with dual-motor AWD available. Premium Luxury and Premium Sport include AWD standard, while all four trims retain the core Cadillac EV technology package.
KEY CHOICE
Onboard AC charging hardware is separate from DC fast charging. The exact AC module depends on OPTIQ trim and configuration.
The 11.5 kW onboard AC charging module supports charging from 120V/15A up to 240V/48A.
The 19.2 kW onboard AC charging module supports up to 240V/80A input.
TRIM COMPARISON
For 2027, Luxury and Sport are RWD standard with AWD available; Premium Luxury and Premium Sport include AWD and the 19.2 kW onboard AC charger as standard.

WHO IT FITS
These three questions usually narrow the lineup quickly before getting into colour, interior and exact availability.
You want the smallest Cadillac EV footprint
You want AWD and Super Cruise without moving up to LYRIQ size
Most of your driving is city / commuting with occasional road trips
COMMON QUESTIONS
Short answers to the questions buyers usually ask before we narrow down the exact trim and configuration.
Use approximately 490 km for an AWD planning figure. Confirm the exact published rating for the trim and wheel configuration you are considering. Actual range also varies with weather, speed, tires, load and heating use.
Those figures refer to the onboard AC charger used for Level 2 charging. The 19.2 kW option can accept substantially more AC power when both the vehicle and electrical installation support it.
No. The onboard AC charger is bypassed during DC fast charging, so it does not change the vehicle’s DC fast-charge capability.
KEEP COMPARING
If the OPTIQ is close but not perfect, these are the next two Cadillac pages I would compare.
WHERE I START
OPTIQ is the Cadillac EV I start with when an urban-friendly footprint, technology, luxury and easy maneuverability matter. If the client wants more cabin and cargo space or a more substantial road feel, that is when I bring LYRIQ into the conversation instead of pretending one EV fits everyone.
