DAVID WADDELLCADILLAC · CALGARY
LUXURY 2-ROW SUV
The XT5 is the familiar-size Cadillac SUV: easy to live with, comfortable in Calgary, and one of the few models in the lineup that lets you choose between a turbo four-cylinder and a naturally aspirated V6.
2026 Canadian-market overview. Equipment can vary by trim, configuration and production timing; the model-specific differences that matter are called out below.
TWO ENGINES · THREE TRIMSThis page reflects Canadian-market trim, drivetrain, colour/interior compatibility and equipment information for the model year shown. Cadillac factory availability and current local inventory can differ, so verify the exact vehicle and configuration.

BASE CONFIGURATION
XT5 Luxury uses the 2.0L turbo four-cylinder with a 9-speed automatic. It covers the fundamentals well, while Premium Luxury opens more luxury options and Sport moves to the 3.6L V6 as its performance-focused foundation.
KEY CHOICE
These are the choices that materially change how the vehicle drives or fits your day-to-day use. Small accessories and individual RPO combinations can still vary by VIN.
The 2.0L turbo four-cylinder is the lighter, efficiency-focused XT5 setup and is paired with the same 9-speed automatic.
The naturally aspirated V6 is the choice for buyers who want smoother power delivery and stronger acceleration. It is standard on Sport and available on selected Premium Luxury builds.
TRIM COMPARISON
Start with core standard equipment, then compare the meaningful trim additions and major factory options worth knowing about.
Core XT5 equipment
More comfort and traditional luxury
V6 + darker performance look

KEEP COMPARING
If the XT5 is close but not perfect, these are the next two Cadillac pages I would compare.
WHERE I START
XT5 is a strong place to start when a client wants a midsize gasoline Cadillac SUV with a smooth driving feel and a sensible price point in the lineup. I do not move somebody up simply because a larger Cadillac costs more; I first make sure the passenger space, cargo and driving experience are actually what they need.
